What is ISEER Rating in ACs?

ISEER (Indian Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) is the standard used by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) to measure an air conditioner's efficiency in India.

How is it Calculated?

It is the ratio of the total annual amount of heat that the equipment can remove from an indoor space when operated for active cooling to the total annual amount of energy consumed by the equipment.

A higher ISEER value means better energy efficiency and lower electricity bills. For example, a 5-Star AC has a higher ISEER than a 3-Star AC.
